    Description

    RS239TC Plate Proof block of 6 with imprint, shown on page 993 of the 2021 issue of the U.S Specialized Catalog.  The illustration as the 4 cent value is on page 789 of the 2021 issue of the U.S Specialized Catalog.
    The catalog number given here and on the certificate is, to my estimation, an approximation as the catalog doesn't seem to exactly list this item.
    This is the 2 cent black, card proof on india paper with the denomination inked over with crayon, often seen on this issue.  The block is stiff and extremely fine as the day it was made.  These proofs had no gum.
